Modern transportation systems, encompassing various modes of transport from freight to passenger services, are crucial elements of infrastructure that support the functioning of the economy. In recent decades, these systems have increasingly integrated intelligent technologies, such as monitoring systems that utilize the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data, and machine learning. These technologies enable the efficient collection, analysis, and utilization of data regarding the condition of vehicles, routes, and the environment, unlocking significant opportunities to enhance the economic efficiency, safety, and resilience of transportation operations. The implementation of intelligent monitoring systems in transportation has considerable economic implications, particularly in terms of reducing operational costs [1]. In both freight and passenger transport sectors, where the seamless operation of infrastructure is critical, minimizing vehicle downtime and optimizing fuel consumption are essential factors for operational efficiency.

As one of the important cities in Jiangsu Province, Yangzhou's transportation market (table 1) has experienced rapid development in recent years. However, in the face of increasing transportation demand and complex traffic environment, traditional management methods are difficult to meet the needs of the modern transportation market. Therefore, the introduction of intelligent monitoring system has become a key measure to improve the management level and service quality of Yangzhou transportation market.

In the transportation system of Yangzhou, the application of intelligent monitoring systems is primarily focused on the road transport, logistics distribution, public transportation and transportation of hazardous materials. The research conducted allowed us to determine the economic performance of the implementation of intelligent monitoring systems in the Yangzhou transportation system. A statistical model was built to identify the relationship between intelligent monitoring systems and the efficiency, safety and economic benefits of transportation. In this study, various statistical methods such as regression analysis and correlation analysis were used to analyze the performance of the Yangzhou transportation market in detail. In order to improve transportation efficiency, the time series analysis method was used to compare the change trend of key indicators such as average transportation time and cargo turnover rate in different periods before and after the implementation of the intelligent monitoring system. The results show that with the support of the intelligent monitoring system, the cargo turnover rate in the Yangzhou transportation system increased by about 20% and the transit time decreased by about 15%. The analysis of the results shows that the intelligent monitoring system implemented in Yangzhou has reduced the incidence of traffic accidents by 40% through real-time monitoring and early warning mechanisms, especially the incidence of major accidents. The economic benefits of the intelligent monitoring system were also quantified through the cost-benefit analysis method. The application of intelligent monitoring systems has reduced fuel consumption by 10%, maintenance costs by 12%, and overall operating costs by 8%. In addition, the city's transportation sector has reduced CO2 emissions by about 10% since the implementation of the intelligent monitoring system, which has played a positive role in improving the air quality of the city.

Intelligent monitoring systems improve the overall performance of transportation networks, allowing operators and drivers to make informed decisions in real-time [3]. Furthermore, these systems contribute to the resilience of transportation networks against external challenges, including economic downturns, natural disasters, and other unforeseen events.

By leveraging advanced data analysis and connectivity technologies, intelligent monitoring systems enhance traffic management and resource allocation. This not only leads to cost savings but also increases safety and reliability in transportation systems [4]. The integration of such technologies is increasingly recognized as a critical component of transportation infrastructure modernization and addressing the complex issues facing urban mobility today.

In conclusion, it should be noted that the deployment of intelligent monitoring systems represents a transformative approach that not only reduces operating costs but also increases the resilience and efficiency of transportation systems in the face of various external pressures.
